Directions from Oxford City Centre

From Oxford city centre, head west along the Botley Road (A420/B4044) towards Cumnor. At the top of Cumnor Hill turn left towards Wootton onto the B4017. Approximately 2 miles along this road you will reach the village of Wootton. You will pass the Bystander pub on your right and after the pedestrian crossing, take the next left hand turn into Wootton Village. About a third of a mile along this road, you will pass the cricket ground on your right. Immediately after the cricket ground take the right hand turn which is signposted to Old Boars Hill. About 100 metres along this road, the turning to the yard is on the left.

 

Directions from the A34

Leave the A34 at the Hinksey Hill/Eastern bypass junction and follow the signs up Hinksey Hill towards Boars Hill and Wootton. Half a mile along this road, at the top of the hill, turn right down Foxcombe Road (signposted Boars Hill and Wootton). Continue along this road for about 2 miles until you reach a T- junction. Turn right and you will be on Lamborough Hill (more of an incline than a hill). About half a mile along this road, after the paddocks and the speed camera on the right hand side take the right hand turning into Wootton Village (almost directly opposite Wootton and Dry Sandford Community centre). Then follow the directions above.

 

Please be aware that if you are coming from the A34 your SATNAV is likely to direct you over Boars Hill as this is the quickest way to the yard. Whilst this is very much the scenic route, it is a narrow road and you are likely to encounter horses, cyclists and pedestrians and other vehicles. The road is unsuitable for lorries, trailers or horseboxes.

 

Directions from Abingdon

Follow the centre of Abingdon follow the Wootton Road ( the B4017) towards Cumnor and Eynsham. Approximately 3 miles from Abingdon along this road you will reach the village of Wootton. Once you have passed the speed camera and the paddocks on your right. Take the next right turn into Wootton village (opposite Wootton and Dry Sandford Community Centre) and follow the directions above.

 

By Bus

There are regular buses from Oxford and Abingdon and the surrounding villages which stop on the main road ( the B4017) in Wootton near to Wootton and Dry Sandford Community Centre. The yard is a five minute walk from there.
